Introduction

Sensorplex Pty Ltd has been supplying the Australian Industry with Machine Safety Solutions and Precision Industrial Sensors since 2002. We have been the sole distributor for Jokab Safety of Sweden, and have provided numerous safety solutions to the best of Australian Industry. On the sensor side, we have also been supplying and supporting Precision Industrial Sensor from the best and biggest Swiss Sensor Solution Company, Baumer Electric - boasting sensors such as the OSDM/OEDM through beam sensors capable of detecting object as small as 0.2mm at 3m away. Recently, Sensorplex also acquired the agency for Cognex Smart Vision sensors and Cognex ID. Our latest addition is the e-nventory logistic system from Digisens .

Machine Safety

On machine safety, we are very proud to represent Jokab Safety as this is one of the most exciting and innovative company on machine safety. Since 2002, we have been supplying safety based on the Vital Solution systems, a totally different concept in providing safety solutions for machines requiring Category 4 safety as per AS4024:1501-2006. Instead of just adopting the traditional two channel static system, Jokab Safety developed a whole system consisting of a Safety Controller, Radio Frequency (RF) proximity sensors, Mechanical E-Stop adaptors - and most importantly, introduced a new wiring system using Dynamic Signal Processing - a system which constantly monitors the wiring system at a rate of 200 times per second while the traditional system does this only on resets.

Smart Vision Sensors

The Checker® vision sensor is an award winning all-in-one vision sensor with built in lighting and a variable working distance, capable of inspecting over 6,000 parts per minute – all in a package small enough to fit into the tightest of spaces.

• Detects a part by finding an actual part feature. This provides extremely reliable part detection unattainable with photoelectric sensors.
• Inspects features that other sensors cannot. Checker actually understands what your part looks like.
• Inspects unlimited multiple part features simultaneously with a single Checker.
• Overcomes varying part positions. Parts on a line typically vary in position, and Checker tracks all of them without requiring precise part handling.

Checker might be new to Sensorplex but our sales team leader has been implementing Checker Vision systems for some 2 years in the market. Brendan Neil has extensive experience in Vision, being the formal director for DVT Australia until its acquisition by COGNEX.

Precision Industrial Sensors

Baumer Electric was established in 1952 and is a leader in Factory Automation Solutions in all possible forms and applications have been at the center of our world-wide activities. Monitoring, positioning, sort, count - that is exactly what the sensors developed by Baumer do - whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy and compliance. Motion, speed and acceleration - controlling and regulating drives is the domain of the Motion Group. Measure, inspect, compare - to conduct complex quality inspections, modern vision systems detect millions of pixels and analyze the produced images just like the human eye. Since the formation of the Baumer Group, we have not access to heavy industrial range of encoders from Huebner Berlin (no Baumer Huebner) and Baumer IVO.

COGNEX boast a series of award-winning family of high-performance image-based ID readers provide high reliability reading of 1D and 2D codes on the widest range of applications from the easiest to read codes to the most difficult directly-marked on metal, glass, ceramic, and plastic parts. If it is hard to read, we can read it.

Barcode Indentification is another very exciting product for Sensorplex. COGNEX expertise is in Direct Part Marking (DPM) - a system which is now being adopted in the Medical, Automotive, Electronic and Aircraft industry for part tracking and tracing. DPM means the part is embedded directly onto the part - no stickers etc.

Logistic

Sensorplex is currently promoting the e-nventory systems developed by Digisens of Switzerland. The systems features pre-made shelfs with in-build scales based on "vibrating wire tecchnology". Futher innovation is seen in the use of GPRS mobile phone network for transfer of data and web technolog to allow viewing and data access using standard web interface.
